Recently things seem to be moving forward a little too fast... and I've developed an irrational desire to want to keep a hold of the past for just a little bit longer.
What makes us fear change? Is it a fear of something specific to which we already know or think we know? Or is it merely a general fear of the unknown and of what challenges it may bring?
Why do we try so hard to cling on to the familiar, and struggle so hard to accept the new, even though we could be moving on to something even better than what we already have!

Maybe I'm merely trying to keep a hold of the slippery ends of everything familiar that ties together what I call "my life", and to do anything less would be to accept that my life is currently less than perfect...
